| The 42nd Tour de l’Abitibi, to be run from July 20th to the 25th, will present a strong American flavor since as many as 14 of the 26 teams will be coming from South of the borderSAUSAusa. The USA national team and 13 other regional clubs have answered the call and will take part in that prestigous cycling event. In total , six countries will be represented in this Junior Nation’s Cup event: the USA, the host nation of Canada, as well as New Zealand, Japan, Thailand and Belize will have riders chasing for the brown jersey. Canada will be well represented in the 156 riders peloton with a total of 8 teams, including provincal seletions from Ontario, Quebec and Alberta. The junior cyclists will have to contend with seven stages in 6 days, for a total of 585 kilometers. |
